Hijab Tip #7

Asalamu alaikum!

Recently purchased some wonderful hijabs and afraid to wash
them or take the wrinkles out with an iron? Inshallah
you'll find today's advice helpful!

I would really recommend investing in a small steam iron
which are best because there is no worries to burn your
hijabs. We have to admit at times that sometimes we can be
a little domestically challenged..hehehe Ironing I've tried
to master it and till now haven't ;)

The way you wash your hijabs is wash them in cold water,
but not freezing cold, rather colder than room temperature
in lightly soapy water with no bleach. Swish it around
gently in a basin, and rinse it out in clean water using
the same swishing motion; as if you're waving "good-bye".
If the hijab has embroidery or beads do not wring out the
water before hanging it up to dry and hang it just like
that instead. When dry, use an iron to take the wrinkles
out or use a steam iron which is recommended.

Those of you who are thinking of putting your hijab in the
microwave...something tells me it's not a good idea;)

Lastly, if you haven't done so already, get a good hijab
hanger currently offered for only $9.99

Happy hijabing and handle them with care inshallah:)
