As you can see, in this picture, we have used all the shayla material so there is nothing hanging and the shayla is neatly fastened with a hijab pin. Step 1: Place the underscarf portion, which is actually connected to the wrapping portion of this ensemble, over your head, making sure the wrapping portion is hanging in front of you over your chest. Step 2: Take the wrapping portion of the shayla which is hanging in front of you on your chest, and let the left hanging side cross over the right hanging side, creating an [X] like shape. The part below the [X] like shape, you will notice it create a (loop hole), as seen in the picture. Step 3: Take this (loop hole) and scoop it over your head as shown in pictures #3, and #4, as if you are trying to play (jump rope) backwards! heheee... In this step try not to get carried away and actually ruin your shayla by actually trying to play jump rope:) Trust me, I've tried and it's never gonna work:)))hehe...anyway....moving on;) Step 4: Roll over the 3rd picture from the left to get details on picture number 3 and 4.

Step 5: By now you're probably thinking, how are you going to get the satin strip portion of the shayla to show? Trust me, I thought the same thing too:) But all I know that wrapping it with these instructions will get it to show. Perhaps those of you who are good in Calculus can explain to us why this works:) But anyway...moving on. For the fifth picture, now that you have the wrapping portion behind your head, bring it back and place it over your head as shown in the picture. Let's get pinning in the next step! Step 6: Now that you have the wrapping portion draping over your head as shown in step 5, you can bring the material and gather it under your chin with an oval pin as shown in picture number 6. Step 7: In this picture, if you don't wish to pin it under your chin, also not my personal preference. I would carry this through to picture number 8 (the last picture). In this picture, the right side of the shayla is over the left side of the shayla, and what you can do here is bring it up, and pin the end behind your left ear. To get the look as showwn in picture 8,from this same step, do the opposite and ring the right side of the shayla over the left side, and pin it at the side of your chin as shown in picture 8. Step 8: As in all cases learning how to wear hijab or shaylas, you gotta (fiddle-dee-diddle) with it in order to get it the way you'd like it. Some may take 1 day, some 1 week, some 1 month. It's all normal anyway. Patience and perseverence is the key. Have fun!
