I am going on one year in hijab, 3 years as a revert. I work for the u.s. dept. of homeland security. It's a challenge but I have not felt like I have to remove my hijab to fit in at work. I like most of my co-workers and they are all pretty cool. I am a serious nut when it comes to shopping online. I always splurge like I have a salary 10x larger than my reality. LOL. I just bought 3 neckcovers from this site, and they came today to my surprise. They are pretty and soft, but they dont fit over my head! I hate to even share negative feedback, but maybe I just have a huge head because it's not the first time it has happened with this slip on hoods. I had that experience at another site. I choked myself putting it on, and my hair (in a ponytail, mind you) just hung right out the back. Didn't cover my neck or even half of my head. My question is (and I am not sure if I should have posted this in the forums instead)- does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do to them to make them fit? I can't sew to save my life. Last time I had a friend take a slip on scarf out to make it fit, it only made matters worse. Long story short, that hood is sitting on the floor somewhere in the closet. Came all the way from Egypt. If anyone knows what I can do to make use of the scarves I purchased, please let me know @ diggatol81@yahoo.com

Wa alaikum salam sister. I wear the neckcover's myself when I wear my black trendy middle eastern shayla. Our mannequin is human sized and it does fit well as per how it is shown in the diagram. Unfortunately it isn't recommeded to wear it with a bun in the back because it will lessen the ability to have it cover the back of your neck. They must also be worn with an underscarf that would provide some friction and so it does not slip off our satin like hair. You can tug it down so that he upper edge is above your ponytail or bun so that there is enough material to cover the back of your neck. These neckcovers are also for dual purpose and make a great underscarf too;) Jazakallahu khairan. Wasalam

Wa Salaam, Thanks for the tips. I tried them, but I think it's a lost cause. I am African American- so I dont have satiny hair problems. I didn't quite understand what you meant by not wearing a bun- my hair is long, not sure what other styles this tube would accomadate. But I measured the opening, and it's only 21 inches, whereas my head just slightly about the top of the forehead down around to the throat and under my chin measure 25". If I pull the scarf up, my neck is completely out, if I pull it down, it's not on my head anymore. I sometimes wonder whose heads are these scarves are modelled from. Sometimes one size doesn't fit all. Allah made some of us with bigger heads. They fit our bodies, just nothing else :( I'm gonna keep trying I guess. Thanks ~Allah Hafiz

It is made lawful for you to go in unto your wives on the night of the fast. They are raiment for you and ye are raiment for them. Allah is Aware that ye were deceiving yourselves in this respect and He hath turned in mercy toward you and relieved you. So hold intercourse with them and seek that which Allah hath ordained for you, and eat and drink until the white thread becometh distinct to you from the black thread of the dawn. Then strictly observe the fast till nightfall and touch them not, but be at your devotions in the mosques. These are the limits imposed by Allah, so approach them not. Thus Allah expounDETH His revelation to mankind that they may ward off (evil).

Asalmu Alaykum wa rahmatullahe wa barakatuhu! This website is so good! The styles and hijabs are GORGEOUS!!! I haven't seen the like anywhere else. I used to wear my hijab tied around backwards since I use to develop a rash on my neckwhen I tied it at the front. (Well also since I thought that it made me look like a hag:P) Ever since I saw that tutorial, I'm going to try out that square hijab style tomorrow, Inshallah! As a new muslim I was having some difficulty with the hijab but the al amiras are terrific. I will most definitely be shopping with you again in the future. I was hoping that maybe there would be some cotton clothing available soon with summer coming on. As wonderful as the Geogette abayas are I think they are more suited for Canada and cooler climate. Wa'alaikum Assalam, The order that I have placed more than 1 month ago was very great; all the hijabs were very nice and we loved the colors (my mom and I)! The colors and material were very good quality. I also liked the glitter or shininess on the hijabs! I was very pleased with my order. I also appreciate your promotions and emails you send. However, the only thing that makes me not want to visit the website sometimes (but I still do it anyway) is that its slow; not only when I click on a particular thing, but sometimes it takes forever for the web page to come up. But it is a lot better now; now the website pulls up faster. And this is not only on my computer, its with any computer I use that has fast Internet.
